Robotics Within Bound Brook & South Bound Brook, NJ
Every year since 1997, Bound Brook High School has participated in the FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC). The challenge changes each year, but all teams worldwide receive the challenge, a kit of parts, and a rule book on the same day in January. The team then has just six weeks to build a competition-ready robot. Read about this year's challenge. The team also does numerous outreach events each year throughout the community. In efforts to excite students in the younger grades of Bound Brook and South Bound Brook about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.), our team aims to create and mentor age appropriate FIRST teams at every school in both districts following the FIRST Progression of Programs.

For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology
FIRST® (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) was founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology. Based in Manchester, NH, the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity designs accessible, innovative programs that motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills.
FIRST is More Than Robots. FIRST participation is proven to encourage students to pursue education and careers in STEM-related fields, inspire them to become leaders and innovators and enhance their 21 st century work-life skills. Read more about the Global Impact of FIRST.
